News from Maidwell – May 2025

Back in January, members of the Draughton Club Room Committee addressed the Council on the investment that is required to repair the roof. It was leaking badly and damaging the inside of the building. £10k was required to fund the repairs and add insulation. The residents of Draughton have been working hard to raise funds for the repairs and after discussion, Councillors agreed to provide up to £7k from reserves to ensure that the repairs can go ahead as quickly as possible. The actual sum provided was £2000 with the remaining funded by an external grant from the Northamptonshire Community Foundation.

Maidwell with Draughton is now part of the Rural North East Ward

The Parish Council is Uncontested so no votes will be cast for your Parish Councillors.
