Landlords urged to take heed of important law changes
From 1st October 2018, changes to regulations for licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) will mean that all HMOs occupied by 5 or more people forming two or more households (where facilities are shared) will require a mandatory HMO licence. (see here)
Landlords with properties meeting the criteria must ensure they have applied for a licence by 1 October this year in order to avoid enforcement action. Application forms can be downloaded from Daventry’s HMO page
