Stagecoach proposing changes to their bus services from Saturday 22nd/Sunday 23rd February
Stagecoach have advised Northants Highways that they are proposing to make changes to their bus services from Saturday 22nd/Sunday 23rd February.
Their summary of changes in the Northampton area is as follows :
Northampton
1 – Additional running time introduced in the peak. The 2302 and 2332 Monday to Friday journeys from Rectory Farm to Town Centre withdrawn – minimal usage. An additional journey departing Rectory Farm at 0833 for Town Centre introduced on Sundays.
2 – Additional running time introduced to reflect traffic conditions particularly in the Monday to Friday peaks.
3 – 1907 Town Centre to Mereway Tesco journey revised to run 15 minutes later throughout on Mondays to Fridays replacing the 1922 Town Centre to Camp Hill journey which is withdrawn.
4 – Additional running time introduced from North Gate to Kingsthorpe Shopping Centre – balanced out by reduction in time between Kingsthorpe and Eastern Avenue. Increased running time in peak periods. Service frequency revised to every 20 minutes between 1905 and 2005 on Mondays to Fridays.
5 – Additional running time introduced in the peak and afternoon school period particularly to cater for increased traffic around Northampton School For Boys. Southfields to Lings running time increased by 1 minute, Standens Barn to Riverside reduced by 1 minute. The 1941 Southfields to Town Centre and 0535 Old Duston to General Hospital journeys withdrawn on Monday to Friday. The 1853 Duston to Riverside Monday to Friday journey revised to only run to North Gate – minimal usage.
6 – Additional running time introduced in morning peak. Timetable revised in afternoon peak
7 – Additional running time introduced to reflect traffic conditions. Additional Sunday journey introduced from Town Centre at 1956 for the benefit of Moulton Park shift workers (previously service 7B journey to Moulton Village). 2231 from Moulton Park withdrawn on Sunday. The 2310 and 2330 journeys from Moulton Park withdrawn on Mondays to Saturdays. An additional journey introduced at 0403 from the Drapery to Moulton Park running Monday to Sunday to meet revised Greencore shift times.
7A – Additional running time introduced to reflect traffic conditions particularly in the peak. The 0623, 0723 and 0823 Town Centre to Weston Favell journeys withdrawn on Saturdays.
7B – 1951 Sunday journey from Town Centre to Moulton Village replaced by 1956 service 7 journey to Moulton Park
8 – Additional running time introduced in the peak. Service revised to run every 20 minutes after 1800 on Mondays to Fridays. The 0728 North Gate to Kings Heath and 0745 Kings Heath to North Gate journeys withdrawn on Saturdays.
9 / 9A – The 1859 departure from Drapery, 1918 from Duston retimed to run 10 minutes later throughout on Mondays to Fridays as part replacement for withdrawn journey on service 9B – see below
9B – The 1909 Town Centre to Duston and 1921 Duston to General Hospital journeys withdrawn on Mondays to Fridays – minimal usage
11 – Additional journey introduced departing Town Centre at 0726 to provide earlier arrival in Hardingstone replacing the 11A journey. The current 0752 journey from Grange Park becomes an 11A not running via Hardingstone. Additional running time introduced in the peak and intermediate times altered to match traffic conditions
11A – The 0736 departure from Town Centre revised to become a service 11. The 0752 from Grange Park becomes an 11 journey running via Hardingstone (see above). Additional running time introduced in the peak and intermediate times altered to match traffic conditions. More time introduced on direct journeys to / from Clipper / Amazon to account for loading time and traffic conditions.
12 – The 0711 North Gate to Butts Road journey withdrawn on Saturday. Additional running time introduced to reflect traffic conditions
12A – Timetable completely revised on Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays to improve reliability whilst maintaining reasonable Brackmills arrivals/departures for Barclaycard staff
14 – Moulton Park extension to be withdrawn following expiry of funding from Northamptonshire County Council. The 1930 and 2010 journeys from Acre Lane and 1915 and 1955 journeys from Town Centre withdrawn on Mondays to Fridays.
15 – The 0543, 0603 and 1856 journeys from Town Centre to Berrywood Road and 1921 journey from Berrywood Road to Town Centre are withdrawn on Monday to Friday. The 1834 Town Centre to Berrywood Road and 1859 Berrywood Road to Town Centre journeys retimed 10 minutes later throughout on Mondays to Fridays.
15A – The 2154 and 2254 Town Centre to St Giles Park and 2222 and 2322 St Giles Park to Town Centre journeys withdrawn on Mondays to Fridays. The 2254 Town Centre to St Giles Park and 2222 and 2322 St Giles Park to Town Centre journeys withdrawn on Saturdays. The 2154 journey from Town Centre will only run as far as Berrywood Road on Saturdays
16 – Additional running time introduced to reflect traffic conditions particularly in the Monday to Friday peaks. The 1722, 1928, 2313 and 2343 journeys from Ecton Brook Overmead Road revised to only run to Ecton Brook PH on Mondays to Fridays – minimal usage
53 – Possible retime of 1654 journey from Brackmills to 1709 – late from previous trip (Will confirm)
54 – The 0647 from Northampton to depart at 0637 and run 10 minutes earlier throughout – to help subsequent journey run on time
55 – Journeys for shifts revised to reflect loading and traffic conditions on Mondays to Fridays. The 0428 Drapery to Swan Valley journey on Monday to Friday and 1831 Drapery to Swan Valley journey withdrawn on Monday to Saturday.
83 – currently departing 6 / 7 mins late from Milton Keynes in the morning due to late arriving X6 journey. Service X6 journey retimed to enable service 83 to leave on time.
87 – Possible rerouting of service in Silverstone to operate same clockwise loop as the X91 – NCC consideration
602 – Journey to arrive at Campion School in the afternoon prior to 1500 – in place
D3 – The 2358 from Daventry to Northampton is withdrawn on Mondays to Fridays. The 0554 from Daventry to Northampton is withdrawn on Saturday but the 0658 from Lower Weedon is revised to start from Daventry on Saturdays as part replacement.
X6 – Additional running time introduced in the peak periods and off peak between Grafton Regis and Roade in the off peak Monday to Friday and Saturday. The 1707 departure from Northampton to Roade will only run as far as Grange Park returning back from Grange Park at 1735 on Mondays to Fridays – the 1734 Roade to Northampton journey is withdrawn as a result. The 0932 from Grange Park to Northampton is withdrawn on Saturdays.
X7 – The 1740 from Northampton to Brixworth extended to Market Harborough on Mondays to Fridays. The 2110 Leicester to Northampton journey withdrawn on Mondays to Fridays. The 1910 from Northampton to Leicester journey to only run as far as Market Harborough on Mondays to Fridays. Additional running time introduced in the morning and afternoon peaks on Monday to Friday and running time redistributed between Great Oxendon and Kingsthorpe on Saturdays.
The majority of changes are due to Stagecoach reviewing their commercial network. However the withdrawal of service 14 between Acre Lane and Moulton Park, and the reduction in the evening service on service 15A are due to the ending of developer funding.
