Essential Works M6 J1 to M1 J19 Catthorpe Resurfacing

Highways England will be carrying out essential maintenance work between the M6 J1 to M1 junction 19.
This scheme will improve the road surface by repairing identified defects. They’ll be resurfacing sections of the carriageway and refreshing road markings. Once completed, all road users will benefit from improved road safety and a smoother carriageway.

This work with take place from 25 July 2020 to 27 July 2020. They will be working overnight between 8:30pm and 5:00am.

Please note that all planned roadworks may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a safe environment for the workforce and customers, a full carriageway closure is necessary to complete all tasks. The following closures will be in place during this time.
• Full closure of the M6 SB from junction 1 to M1 junction 19
• Closure of M6 J1 SB entry slip
• Closure of the link road from M6 SB to A14 EB

During these closures, fully signed diversion routes will be put in place that have been agreed with the Local Authority.
